Brigitte Macron wears very festive red ensemble in run-up to Christmas

Brigitte Macron, 65, looked incredibly festive today, as she joined her husband President Emmanuel Macron, 40, for a special Christmas party for the children of Elysee Palace’s employees at the Gobelins Manufactory in Paris. The stylish politician wore head-to-toe red, arriving at the occasion in a tailored red blazer which featured gold button detailing. The blazer appeared to be a Balmain number, costing an eye-watering £1,794. However, the designer garment is currently in the sale on Farfetch for £1,256.

Keeping her chic ensemble low-key, Brigitte wore a simple white T-shirt beneath her blazer.

She teamed the statement piece with a simple pair of black slim jeans.

Showing off her fashion credentials, Brigitte accessorised with a stylish Louis Vuitton scarf to match her blazer.

The 65-year-old and her President husband looked thrilled to meet the children at the party, handing out Christmas presents to each and every one.

As always, Brigitte wore her short blonde locks in a voluminous choppy style which sat just above her shoulders.

Displaying a natural glow, Brigitte wore dewy makeup complete with glossy lipstick.

She also had lashings of mascara on her eyes and a heavy line of kohl to top it off.

Brigitte appeared to be in high spirits at the festive event, happily cuddling and picking up some of the children.

Brigitte is seemingly a firm fan of wearing tailored blazers, often opting for the form-fitting garment at formal events.

The wife of Emmanuel Macron often displays her slender figure, usually wearing skirts and midi dresses to show off her toned pins.

November was a busy moth for the former schoolteacher, as she and her husband spent some time in Argentina for the G20 summit.

Brigitte’s first look for the event was a white dress and matching jacket, both of which featured a silver zipper running right down the front.

The dress stopped short just above Brigitte’s knees, showing off her toned legs.

She paired this with simple black court shoes, and a chunky silver bracelet on her right wrist.

Brigitte also donned a pair of stylish brown lense sunglasses as she entered the palace.

For her second look, mum-of-three Brigitte slipped in to a navy shift dress.
