Camilla Duchess of Cornwall wears black as she joins Prince Charles to meet Queen Maxima

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, 71, opted to welcome the cold weather in a winter appropriate outfit today.

Prince Charles’ wife looked chic in a black dress coat with a black dress underneath.

The coat featured a white embroidered design at the clasp, with matching trim on the sleeves.

She kept her hands covered with a pair of black leather gloves.

Mum-of-two Camilla is known for her love of extravagant jewellery, and made sure to wear some eye-catching pieces today.

She sported a multi-strand pearl necklace and pearl drop earrings which complemented the colours of her coat.

On her head, Camilla wore a wide-brimmed black hat.

A small black leather clutch bag and simple black leather court shoes were the final accessories.

Underneath her hat, Camilla’s hair was blowdried in her favourite bouncy style.

While Camilla chose to wear black today, Queen Maxima went in the opposite sartorial direction, wearing blush pink.

She also donned a matching headband for her first appearance in the UK today.

Bowing to the Queen, Maxima kept her hands covered with a pair of nude leather gloves.

Keeping her legs protected against the winter chill, Maxima wore thick nude tights.

Completing the outfit, she donned a pair of nude suede court shoes.
