Camilla Duchess of Cornwall wows in local Gambian-style attire for West Africa tour

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, 71, and Prince Charles are the latest royals on tour, with the couple currently in West Africa.

Charles and Camilla spent day two of their trip in Gambia, where they met with the President at the State House.

For the event, Camilla channelled local Gambian attire.

The Duchess, who usually opts for midi dresses, wore a pair of wide-leg trousers and floaty overcoat.

Enjoying the Gambian sun, Camilla opted for a trouser/overcoat combination over her usual midi dress.

Taking inspiration from local Gambian attire, she still kept the outfit very her, dressing in pastel colours.

The 71-year-old looked stunning in a pair of cream, wide-leg trousers.

Over the trousers she wore a light, floaty duck-egg blue overcoat, reminiscent of local West African attire.

The delicate garment had long sleeves, protecting her from the heat, and was buttoned half way up.

It also featured intricate embroidery on the bodice and hem, making the look even more elegant.

Making the outfit pop, the Duchess carried a colourful clutch bag, white with bold cherry prints.

Paying homage to those lost in battle, Camila wore a remembrance poppy brooch on her left lapel, standing out against the pale colouring.

On her feet, she wore a simple pair of cream and nude espadrille heels, a style recently seen on Meghan Markle during her royal tour of Australasia.

Protecting herself from the hot sun, the 71-year-old had with her a Victorian-style pale pink parasol.

The Duchess wore her hair in her signature style, bouncy and freshly blowdried and kept her makeup simple with subtle eyeshadow and nude lips.

Just visible through her hair was a stunning pair of gold and duck-egg blue drop-down earrings.

Charles looked dapper by her side in a grey, pinstripe suit with lilac tie – also sporting a red poppy.

Yesterday, Camilla wore a similar style outfit for her touch down in the country.

Again opting for cream wide-leg trousers, she looked even more glamorous in a stunning white and cold overcoat.

Charles and Camilla will also visit Ghana and Nigeria on the nine-day trip.
