Captain Marvel: Will there be an all-female Avengers? Brie Larson is 'super cool'
Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson as a trail blazing superhero. The actress has spoken plainly about representation in superhero movies and the experience of being a woman. In a recent interview with ScreenRant, Larson has reiterated support for a new future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Will there be an all-female Avengers?
If Brie Larson has her way, there very well could be. Speaking to ScreenRant, she said: “I don’t know what the future holds either.
“I’m not let into those top-secret meetings, so we’ll see. We’ll see what happens.
“I love all the female characters so much. So, of course, like that’s what I’m interested in.
“I’m super into an all-female Avengers movie. Yeah, I think that would just be, it would just be cool to see all of them interact together.”

But Larson isn’t the first actress to speak out about wanting an all-woman Avengers film.
Evangeline Lily, who plays The Wasp, also spoke out about the idea.
In an interview with Huffington Post, she said: “I don’t love the idea of breaking them [Ant-Man and The Wasp] up.
“Except if there was an all-female ‘Avengers’ film. Then I’m in.”

In an interview with IGN for Annihilation, Thompson said: “There’s an interest in having women at the forefront of this phase. I feel like it’s hopeful, who knows.”
In an interview with Yahoo, Brie Larson addressed the social media firestorm around her character being told to smile more.
“This is part of why art that depicts the female experience is so important because on one hand, for women and girls it allows us to go, ‘Oh, I have that experience too.’
“And those that aren’t in our bodies can go, ‘Wait, that happens to you? We’ve got to do better.’”

The more diverse experiences Marvel, and movies in general, tackle the more their stories will resonate with everyone.
An all-woman Avengers could be the start of this.
