Creed II end credit scene: Creed 2 ending explained – Sequel clues

The boxing sequel already looks set for a knock out opening weekend. Creed 2 stepped into teh ringa  few days early to take advantage of the Thanksgiving long weekend in the United States and will be giving thanks that fans have responded strongly already. Teh film clocks in at over two hopurs of punishing drama and fight scenes, so should fans stick in their seats until the final credits have rolled. What do the end scenes mean for the next movie?

The movie opend in the US and other markets on November 21, although UK fans will have to wait until the end of the month, and has already punched in an iimpressive $11million at home.

Fans can safely leave cinemas once the credits start rolling. There are some rather beautiful graphics and clever images but no further scenes.

As for what comes next, leading man Michael B Jordan already said:  “If I’m lucky. I want to keep making them as long as they’re good. I always want to keep my finger on the pulse. Forty two years [like the Rocky franchise], I mean, who knows?”

The film has been well crafted to provide a satisfying ending.

The recent Harry Potter Spin off, Fantastic Beasts The Crimes of Grindelwald, has left many fans frustrated after a shocking cliff-hanger that not only leaves too many questions unanswered, it also opens up a new question that fans think has no possible answer.

Creed II, however, provides a huge amount of emotional and dramatic catharsis.

The  film might have been a simple revenge tale, as Apollo Creed’s son seeks revenge for his father’s death at the hands of Ivan Drago. Instead Drago Jr, Viktor, is resoundingly beaten in the ring but nobody is humiliated, punished or dies.

As with the original Rocky saga, there will always be plenty more opportunities for new and ongoing storylines, but this film does not set up any direct sequel plot lines.

Alongside returning stars Michael B Jordan and Sylvester Stallone as Creed Jr and Rocky Balboa, teh leatest film brings back Dolph Lundgren as Drago Sr and Brigitet Nielson and his ex-wife Ludmilla.

It also provides another chance for Rocky’s own story to keep growing, during emotional reunion scenes at the end with his estranged son, Robert (Milo Ventimiglia) and new grandson.
