Deadpool 2: Does Wolverine have a cameo? Is Hugh Jackman in the movie?

WARNING: Spoiler ahead for Deadpool 2.

Hugh Jackman has often been linked to a small role in Deadpool 2, perhaps reprising Wolverine – whom he famously said goodbye to in last year’s Logan.

So does Wolverine appear in the new sequel? Well, yes and no.

In one of the end credits scenes, Deadpool crashes a scene in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, in which Wade Wilson is having his showdown with Wolverine himself.

But although Wolverine can be seen in the moment, Jackman did not film any new footage.

“Fox was gracious to give us the footage and make fun of themselves and their missteps,” writer Paul Wernick said.

“That was existing footage – I think it got drawn out a little bit, I think they pulled raw from the movie.”

Speaking to Good Morning America recently about possibly donning the claws again for a Deadpool movie, Jackman said: “I’d like to send a little message for Ryan.

“Ryan, I love you, Man. I love Deadpool – I can’t wait to see the movie, you’re one of my best friends.

“But just back it up a little, play a little hard to get – it’s too much, it’s not sexy, am I right? Sorry about that.”

Deadpool openly mocks the confusing X-Men timeline, and Reynolds told Entertainment Weekly: “He’s alive and well in my timeline.

“There is a Logan running around out there with a little bushy chest and his little sharpy, sharpy claws, and he is alive and well and ready to go. I would love that.”
