Deepika Padukone set to start shooting xXx 4 SOON after THIS Vin Diesel update?

Back in 2017, Deepika Padukone starred opposite Vin Diesel in xXx: Return of Xander Cage, her first Hollywood film, as Serena Unger. Since September 2018, xXx 4 has been in development with director DJ Caruso who is also returning. According to IMDB, Deepika will reprise her role in the movie, which also has Jay Chou and Zoe Zhang in the cast. Recently Diesel teased an update on xXx 4 and it sounds like filming with Deepika isn’t far off at all.

At the end of last month Diesel posted on Instagram a fan wearing a T-shirt with his quote on it.

It reads: “Well, love motivates me in everything I do.”

Next to the snap, the Xander Cage actor wrote: “My xXx director, DJ is in Texas prepping xXx4…

“Walks in to a burger joint and sees someone wearing this Tee shirt… Haha. Thanks for the Love. #XanderCage #LeadwithLove.

If director DJ Caruso is already in pre-production on xXx 4, perhaps Diesel and Deepika will start shooting the movie as early as the end of this year?

After all, Diesel is currently shooting Fast and Furious 9 in the UK, so it would make sense for him to move on to xXx 4 in the autumn.

Speaking to Collider, DJ said: “I think there’s a bigger ‘they’re’ at play that we talked about.

“We also talked about, particularly with the political climate as it is now, not that we’re such a hugely political movie, but Sam [Jackson] talks about how we need someone to watch the watchers…

“So that’s kind of the idea with the next one,” Caruso added.

“And then, if we can expand on that, what would the world leaders do if they know that these were the people watching the watchers?”

xXx 4’s release date is TBC.
