Deepika Padukone: xXx star reveals what filming Return of Xander Cage was REALLY like

Deepika Padukone joined forced with Xander Cage actor Vin Diesel back in 2017 for the third movie in the franchise, xXx Return of Xander Cage. In the movie, she played xXx agent Serena Unger, who goes on to become Xander’s love interest as well. In an unearthed interview, the Bollywood favourite opened up on what it was really like filming Return of Xander Cage and working with Diesel.

“For me, it’s the perfect team,” Padukone gushed in an interview with Movieclips Coming Soon. “I’m so happy that I get to work with such amazingly talented people but, more importantly, such lovely human beings.

“Everyone’s so generous, so focused on making this a beautiful movie. There’s so much positivity, there’s so much love,” she continued. “Everyone’s working together just like the characters in the movie are.”

Praising Xander Cage stalwart Diesel, the actress added: “What Vin does with Xander, what Xander brings to the table, what Vin brings to the table, I think that’s there for everyone to see in the movie. I can’t think of Xander Cage if it wasn’t for Vin Diesel. 

“As an actor, I feel fortunate to work with him in a capacity where I get to discover him as a person,” she said.

xXx 4 will see Padukone and Diesel back together again, but the release date has yet to be confirmed.

Back in January, the latter confirmed they were both headed to a meeting about the next film.

Then, in November, Diesel teased the fourth movie once again when he shared an Instagram post about wrapping Fast & Furious 9, uploading a picture of his topless torso.

“After the longest filming shoot of my career with Fast 9,” he captioned the picture. “A film I am so immensely proud of.
