Disney is no longer a studio dedicated to animated children’s films alone. Now the mouse-house produces content at an astronomical rate. With some of the biggest franchises under its belt, there is always something to look forward to from Disney.

2019

Avengers: Endgame

The culmination of ten years of storytelling, the final Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 3 movie is out in the UK on April 25, 2019.

Aladdin

Out on May 24, 2019, Aladdin has been met with scepticism by critics and fans alike.

Toy Story 4

Perhaps one of the most anticipated animated films coming out this year is Toy Story 4, with a release date of June 21, 2019.

The Lion King

A new CGI adaptation of the classic tale is being directed by Iron Man and The Jungle Book director Jon Favreau for a July 19, 2019 release date.

Artemis Fowl

Based on the novel series by Irish author Eoin Colfer, the first in what one can only assume will be many movies, is out on August 9, 2019.

Frozen 2

Another hotly anticipated sequel is Frozen 2, which sees Elsa and Anna set off on a new adventure outside Arandelle and will be in cinemas on November 22, 2019.

Star Wars Episode 9

The final chapter in the Skywalker saga, Star Wars Episode 9 needs no further introduction, and is out in UK cinemas on December 19, 2019.

2020

Onward

A Pixar movie, Onward tells the story of two teenage elf brothers who set out to see if there is any magic left and is out in cinemas on March 6, 2020.

Mulan

Another live action remake, Mulan is finally coming to cinemas on March 27, 2020, after being pushed back from a 2018 release date.

Maleficent 2

Angelina Jolie returns as the misunderstood villain of Sleeping Beauty in her sequel, Maleficent 2 – out in cinemas on May 29, 2020.

Jungle Cruise

Dwayne Johnson joins Disney in a movie based on a ride (much like the wildly popular Pirates of the Caribbean) scheduled for a July 24, 2020 release date.
