Dolph Lundgren BACK as Drago to face Rocky? Stallone is NOT being subtle with his hints

Stallone has posted a series of messages on Instagram that pack a pretty blatant punch. 

The Rocky star started a few weeks ago but has upped the ante over the past few days.

Nothing has actually been directly confirmed but you’d have to be punchdrunk to miss the not-so-hidden subtext behind the posts, pictures and even the hashtags.

Is the Cold War seriously about to be revived as the 70-year-old US icon faces the 59-year-old USSR champion across a boxing ring?

Surely they both a little too old to slip back into the boxing gloves and shiny shorts?

Age certainly hasn’t held the veteran action stars back from continuing to tear up the screen in the recent Indestructables franchise, although Stallone and Schwarzennegger both sensationally quit earlier this year.

On June 26 Stallone started to hint that Lundgren’s iconic Rocky IV villian would be joining him in Creed 2.

He Instgrammed an old image of Rocky and Drago in the ring but added the hashtag ‘#CREED2’.

Successive posts became even more blatant. On June 30 another image of Drago with Apollo Creed was tagged: “Directing APOLLO AND DRAGO , The two best “cinema” boxers that ever lived! Maybe it’s time to try to again?”

2015’s Creed saw Stallone return as Rocky, brought out of retirement to coach Apollo’s son, Donnie, played by Michael B Jordan.

The latest Instagram on June 3 actually showed Donnie and Drago cropped to look like they were facing off aganst each other.

The incendiary image was tagged: “HISTORY WILL ALWAYS REPEAT ITSELF IN ONE FORM OR ANOTHER, JUST GOT TO BE READY! Sins of the Father. #creed2”.

Does this mean Lundgren will be back in the ring?

Or will he now also have a son who will take on Donnie in a repeat of history?
