Dune movie trailer: Frank Herbert son updates as showers PRAISE on Denis Villeneuve movie
Last week, the first look at Denis Villeneuve’s Dune was revealed. Based on Frank Herbert’s epic novel of the same name, the highly-anticipated movie is expected to be something of a sci-fi Game of Thrones. And as fans await the first trailer, Herbert’s son Brian has given an update on its release.
Earlier today, Brian tweeted: “Fans are asking when the official Dune movie trailer will be released. We’re not able to provide that information yet.”
This may come as a disappointment to fans, but Brian did offer something of a tease.
He added: “But be sure to follow @dunemovie on Twitter and Instagram or
@dune on Facebook for the latest updates and information about the exciting upcoming film.”

He added: “I’m not exaggerating when I say a lot of people will have goosebumps/tears when they see this movie (I might!). Heck, when they see the footage I saw they will.
“To be honest, it’s not exactly how I pictured the universe of Dune when I first read the book (it never will be) but that’s a good thing.
“I really like the look Villeneuve has created and I think it’s going to be spectacular.
“I think this will blow people away the way LOTR did 20 years ago, the way Star Wars did 40 years ago. It’s not Jodorowsky or Lynch, but maybe Villeneuve has filmed the unfilmable.”
