Eleanor Tomlinson: How to copy Poldark star’s up-do hair by Charles Worthington stylist

Eleanor Tomlinson was one of many celebrities attending Royal Ascot, a prestigious event with strict dress code and guest list.

The Poldark star wasn’t alone in her attendance; she was joined by Victoria Pendleton, Jodie Kidd and Michelle Dockery.

The Poldark actress wowed in a pink floral dress with black accessories – a pair of strappy sandals, a stylish clutch bag and a netted fascinator.

Attending the fourth day of Royal Ascot, Eleanor’s stylish, chic bun was created for the day by Katie Hale, Head of Colour at Charles Worthington Salons.

How to get Eleanor Tomlinson’s up-do

Firstly, prep the hair using L’Oréal Professional Tecni Art Pli and use a hairdryer to dry it in. This is my favourite product to use when prepping hair.

I also love to use L’Oréal Super Dust at the roots to give volume to hair, making it easier to style.

Next, part the hair into the chosen parting, and section off two sections of hair from the crown to the back of the ear.

Clip the hair away at the front, towards the face.

Take the back section and style the hair into a ponytail, but on the last pull only wrap through half of the hair, leaving a bun.

Take the front two sections and wrap them across one another, over the top section of the bun and secure with a pin underneath.

Roll the underneath of the bun into the back of the nape using classic grips to secure the underneath of the bun in place.

For a softer, more romantic look, leave a few strands of hair out around the face.

Finally, spray L’Oréal Elnett Hairspray for the ultimate finish, shine and strong hold to last all day!
