Elvis Presley week: The King of Rock and Roll’s Top 10 most streamed songs REVEALED
He may have died 42 years ago, but Elvis’s music is as popular as ever. In fact, in 2019 there’s been more than 16.5 million hours of his tracks streamed so far. And now as Elvis Week is upon us, Spotify have revealed the most streamed songs of The King of Rock and Roll this year. Here’s the full Top 10.

3. Suspicious Minds
4. Hound Dog
5. Burning Love
6. A Little Less Conversation – JXL Radio Edit Remix
7. Heartbreak Hotel
8. Don’t Be Cruel
9. Blue Suede Shoes
10. In the Ghetto
Interestingly, the top age group to stream Elvis in the last month were 18-22 year-olds, proving just how timeless his music is.
Naturally, the USA is the top country for streaming The King, followed by the UK and Mexico.
While the US states streaming the highest percentage of his songs are topped by Alaska and followed by Arkansas and New Mexico.
Next year, Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis biopic will start shooting for a 2021 release.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’s Austin Butler won the role of Elvis himself, while Tom Hanks will play his manager Colonel Tom Parker.
On being cast, Butler said: “I am just profoundly honoured that Baz has invited me on this journey with him. It’s an extraordinary privilege.
“And I just feel so blessed to be working with such singular directors like him and Quentin Tarantino.”
The untitled Elvis Presley biopic will be released on October 1, 2021.
