The thriller opened the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, followed by its release in Spain on September 14, 2018.

From there the It was released in the United States on February 8, 2019.

The plot synopsis of Everybody Knows reads: “Laura and her two children travel from Argentina to Spain to attend her sister’s wedding.

“The joyful reunion soon turns tragic when her older daughter gets kidnapped — revealing a dark web of hidden secrets.”

Written and directed by Iranian filmmaker Asghar Farhadi, Everybody Knows is a French-Spanish-Italian co-production.
