Fantastic Beasts 2 end scene fan backlash: Is Grindelwald LYING? This star KNOWS the truth

The Crimes of Grindelwald is getting decidedly mixed review with many focussing on the rather complicated plot and confusing twists. One moment, though, makes the entire audience gasp. Unfortunately, it then makes them scratch their heads in bafflement. It just doesn’t make sense. In fact, it should be impossible and fans are not happy. If you are dumfounded by Dumbledore, do not worry, the man who plays him (or one of the Dumbledore brothers it now seems) knows the real truth. 

WARNING MAJOR SPOILERS:

The end sceens breaks the shocking news that Credence Barebone is actually the never-heard-of Aurelius Dumbledore.

It should be impossible. Albus’ parents both died too many years ago to have brought another child into the world, either together or separately. Albus is gay, Aberforth is a bachelor with no recorded relationships and Ariana died aged 14.

Is Grindelwald lying?

Credence star Ezra Miller reveals more.

In a new interview with EW he says that everything revolves around Credence: “If the question of the first film was what (is he), and the question of this film was who, my prediction, if I’m making any, is that Aurelius’ question in the next film will be: ‘Why?’”

By this he means, ‘Why was Aurelius hidden? Who knew about him? Did Albus know?’

Grindelwald clearly had no idea who or what Credence was in the first film, dismissing and mocking him when he thought the Barebone sister was actually the Obscurus. But maybe he knew about a missing Dumbledore in the past but hadn’t connected the dots.

Did Albus know he has a missing sibling? Did he suspect it was Credence?

Miller revealed that Jude Law has the answers.

Apparently JK Rowling klikes her actors to have advance knowledge to inform thier performances. Miller says he knew about Credence’s hidden identity way back during teh first film. As for Law..

Miller adds: “We truly do not know. Jude knows. But he won’t tell you.”
