Fifth Harmony’s Ally Brooke goes solo as she teams with Topic on new single (WATCH)
Their collaboration Perfect has already racked up more than a quarter of a million spins on the producer’s YouTube channel, and it’s gone down exceptionally well with Brooke’s fans.
She is the latest member of the girlband to release her own music, after bandmate Lauren Jauregui teamed up with Halsey and Steve Aoki in 2017.
Norman Kordei, meanwhile, will appear with Khalid on the Love, Simon soundtrack, and Dinah Jane appeared with RedOne, Daddy Yankee and French Montana on Boom Boom last year.
In fact, this isn’t Brooke’s first musical venture away from the band: she was on Lost Kings’ track Look At Us Now with ASAP Ferg months ago.
Of Perfect, she tweeted: “This was the best video I’ve been a part of….so honest, so raw….completely vulnerable at the core…”
Jauregui leant her support, posting on her own page: “OBSESSED WITH THIS!! Congrats mamaaa.”
Of the video, she added: “Why am crying like a baby….that ending was so beautiful.”
Perfect comes as former bandmate Camila Cabello continues her global success: she is currently atop both the Billboard 200 album chart and Hot 100 singles chart.
Fifth Harmony released their first album without the Havana hitmaker last year: it gave them another Top 5 smash in the US and spawned the singles Down and He Like That.
The group’s most recognisable hits worldwide include the likes of Worth It and Work From Home.
Perfect by Topic x Ally Brooke is out now.
