Harry Potter backstage secrets: Watch adorable game between Emma Watson and Tom Felton

Harry Potter is still alive and well in the hearts of fans all over the world. With Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and upcoming Fantastic Beasts movies, the franchise has taken the world by storm. And now, actor Tom Felton has revealed what the cast got up to in their spare time.

While Potter fans were desperate to see various romances emerge on-screen – Ron (played by Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson), Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) and Ginny (Bonnie Wright) – there was one which very few wanted to happen.

And that is between Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton) and Hermione Granger.

These two characters were never anywhere close to becoming involved, and though nothing has ever been reported to have happened between them off-screen, their backstage antics have set fans’ hearts aflutter.

A new video, posted by Tom on his Instagram, shows him and friend Emma playing Slap between takes of what is most likely the first film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

For those uninitiated in the game, Slap is when two people put their hands together, as if in prayer, and touch them together at their fingertips.

Here, it is a tactical game where one must attempt to slap the other on the side of the hand, while the other must try to move away.

If the player attempting to move does so before the slap is oncoming, they lose that round.

In this version, it looks as though Emma is intent on winning, but she is sadly outwitted by Tom in the end, who wins the game while young Daniel and Rupert watch on in amazement.

Under the clip, Tom captions it: “Champion #Slytherin”

But Emma is not happy with this and was quick to reply and set the record straight for fans.

She replied: “I’d like to point out that I did go on to win”

But fans were just obsessed with the pair of them together, commenting on how adorable they looked in the throwback shot.

One fan said: “aw this is all I needed to see on this Wednesday”

Others wrote even simpler sentiments like “so cute,” and “love this” to show their affection for the pair.

Of course, fans will remember that these two had a reunion earlier this year, with images being released of Tom trying to teach Emma guitar.

Emma also posted a selfie of herself and Tom on the beach, telling fans to watch his new series, Origin.

Let’s hope the cast don’t forget to share more of their adorable backstage throwbacks in the years to come.
