Hugh Jackman BIG announcement coming: Wolverine RETURN or Greatest Showman sequel?

The 50-year-old actor yesterday teased that he’s got some big news to share with his fans.

Jackman tweeted: “See you this Thursday on @TheTodayShow for an exclusive announcement!!”

The Australian TV show is several hours ahead of the UK so we’ll be getting the news on Wednesday evening.

So just what could this “exclusive announcement” be?

Well, immediately fans started speculating that Jackman will be returning for a Wolverine Deadpool crossover movie.

However, this is something he’s repeatedly ruled out, despite pleas from Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds.

After all, Jackman bowed out as Wolverine in Logan last year, a film he intended to be his last as the X-Men mutant.

Of course, there’s every possibility he’s changed his mind – although we wouldn’t get our hopes up considering someone else should take on the role.

Another, probably more likely, possibility for the announcement is something to do with The Greatest Showman.

Last Christmas the original movie musical was a huge hit at the box office,

But even more successful was its soundtrack, which has sold over 4.5 million copies worldwide.

In fact, it’s now the longest running soundtrack at UK No 1 in 50 years, topping Saturday Night Fever.

With so much money to be made for 20th Century Fox and Atlantic Records, more Greatest Showman fun from Jackman is certainly a contender for the star’s big news.
