She also reports on the BBC’s World Snooker Championships and Channel 4’s BDO World Darts Championship. She lives in west London with her husband.

How would you describe your style?

When I’m not working, I dress super casual.

I’ll jump at any excuse to wear tracksuit bottoms and trainers because I always have to dress up for work.

If it’s hot, I’ll wear shorts and vests or little dresses and in winter, it’s jeans, boots and a leather jacket.

What colours and shapes suit you best?

I don’t wear black very often, I like to wear colour.

My favourite colour is yellow and I really like blush pink at the moment.

I like wearing high-waisted things with a top tucked in and I’m a massive fan of jumpsuits.

What is your favourite fashion era? I like the 1950s Marilyn Monroe era. That would be my fancy dress theme of choice.

Do you have a style icon?

I’ve always thought Sienna Miller looks really cool in everything she wears.

I like someone who can make even a white T-shirt and jeans look good. She always looks really natural, too.

How was your World Cup experience?

It was unbelievable. It was my first World Cup, so I didn’t know what to expect, but it surpassed expectations on every level.

Russia was an incredible place to be.

I travelled to seven different cities, so I really got to see the country, and everyone was so friendly and welcoming.

The football was brilliant, too – lots of last-minute goals – and the addition of VAR (video assistant referee) was exciting.

Even colleagues who have covered so many World Cups said it was their best tournament.

A few years ago Warehouse was the one shop I’d always look forward to going in, but I also love Karen Millen, French Connection, All Saints and River Island now, and Reiss for work clothes

What was your highlight?

Being in the stadium when England won the penalty shoot-out against Colombia, 10 rows behind Gareth Southgate.

It was a massive moment for English football.

What is your typical working wardrobe like?

In the studio I tend to wear smart trousers, tucked-in tops and fitted dresses – and colour always looks good on-screen – but when I was in Russia I was running around outside, interviewing fans, so I dressed much more casually.

I wore trainers, T-shirts and denim skirts.

Which are your favourite high-street stores?

A few years ago Warehouse was the one shop I’d always look forward to going in, but I also love Karen Millen, French Connection, All Saints and River Island now, and Reiss for work clothes.

Being on telly and with social media nowadays, I don’t want to wear the same things over and over again, which is why high street works well.

Do you have any favourite designers?

My designer items mostly tend to be shoes and bags – Jimmy Choo for shoes and Mulberry for handbags.

Owning a pair of Louboutins is the next goal and I’ve got my eye on a YSL bag.

Do you own anything vintage?

My mum gave me a navy blue Christian Dior clutch bag from years ago, which I use now and again.

She also has a lot of beautiful old saris and we’ll sometimes take them out to look at.

I love to wear them to awards ceremonies.

What is the oldest item in your wardrobe?

I’ve still got a homemade costume from when I played a leopard in a school play.

It involved some leopard-print leggings from Tammy Girl with a tail we’d stuck on.

Are you a hoarder or do you clear out your wardrobe regularly?

I love doing clear outs.

I’m not a hoarder at all, unlike my husband, who holds on to everything. I know straight away if I’m not going to wear something and I find it so therapeutic to get rid of stuff and give it to charity shops or family and friends.

What is the most expensive item in your wardrobe?

A Prada bag, which was a 30th birthday present from my husband.

It goes with everything.

I got a pair of Jimmy Choos, too, so I was very happy.

How much do you spend on clothes each month?

A while ago I was spending about a grand a month but now I’m lucky that I get sent a few clothes, so nowadays it’s probably more like £400.

I love shopping. When I was younger my mum and I used to go shopping in Kingston every Saturday.

How many shoes and handbags do you own?

About 25 pairs of heels – I usually go to Carvela for heels – and 25 pairs of trainers, plus a few pairs of boots.

I’ve got about 20 bags.

I rotate between three or four for everyday use. I have lots of clutch bags.

They look nice but you can’t fit much in them and I like to carry a lot around with me.

What is your best beauty secret?

I’ve discovered a couple – drinking lots of water and splashing my face with cold water morning and night before moisturising.

It really plumps and tightens the face.

What is the best piece of fashion advice you could give?

Love what you’re wearing, otherwise you’re never going to feel comfortable and it’ll show in your body language.
