Is ‘Queen’s favourite’ Sophie Countess of Wessex being inspired by Meghan Markle?

Sophie Countess of Wessex, 53, is the wife of Prince Edward.

The pretty blonde rode to Royal Ascot in a carriage with Meghan Markle, 36, recently.

The pair giggled and chatted together as they made their way into the Royal Enclosure.

Sophie, a mother-of-two to Lady Louise Windsor, 14, and James, Viscount Severn, 10, appeared in public again today.

She attended the 100 Years of the RAF celebrations in London along with the Queen and other major royals.

Sophie looked lovely in a white dress with her husband beside her in uniform.

The dress was custom-made by Suzannah, a brand worn by Carole Middleton yesterday at Prince Louis’ christening.

Today’s dress has a cowl-neck and flowing skirt with subtle nude stripes.

Sophie added a cream crocodile clutch and patent nude heels.

However, the eagled-eyed may have noticed Sophie seemed to channel Meghan at the event.

Sophie’s hat today was white with black accents, and looked very similar to Meghan’s choice for Ascot.

Meghan Markle at Ascot wore a Philip Treacy hat. 

The Duchess of Sussex opted for white on the big day, donning Givenchy.

Her ivory dress cost a sum of £895.

Countess Sophie also looked stunning at the NHS 70th birthday at Westminster Abbey. 

For the service Sophie wore an elegant, tailored dress that came to her calves.

Panelled and cinched in around the waist, the dress gave the 53-year-old a structured silhouette.

The panelling ran the whole length of the dress, giving making her look tailored and polished.

With temperatures cooler today than in recent days, the Countess’ dress had three quarter length sleeves.
