It Chapter Two’s Jessica Chastain: ‘BLOODBATH scene literally TORTURED me’ – Here’s why

Yesterday, the final trailer for It Chapter Two launched at San Diego Comic Con. And during the panel, adult Beverly star Jessica Chastain spoke out on what is said to be the bloodiest scene in horror movie history. One that saw 4,500 gallons of fake blood used for the shocking moment. According to Comic Book, she said she wants to push the limits of the genre.

Chastain said: “I was like, ‘No if we’re going to do it, let’s do it.’

“I love horror films, I love Carrie, and I said, ‘Let’s make Carrie on steroids.’

Stephen King horror fans will know the most famous shot from Carrie sees the school girl completely covered in blood.

However, looking at trailer footage of Beverly, it looks like Chastain was in a sea of the stuff.

He continued: “I know the particular scene you’re talking about, and there’s no way to do it without a ton of blood.

“Knowing Andy, he always takes things and multiplies them, which is what you want out of your director. It’s pretty incredible.”

“I have [seen IT: Chapter Two], yes! I’m very, very happy and I’m very, very proud.

“I don’t know if you can hear the joy in my voice as I try not to answer this question, but I’m very excited for everyone to see it.”
