Ivanka Trump commits fashion MISTAKE at White House Thanksgiving dinner – can you spot it?

Ivanka Trump, 37, joined her father and all of her siblings for Thanksgiving dinner at the White House last night.

A formal affair, the whole Trump family was dressed up for the occasion.

But despite looking stunning, mum-of-three Ivanka committed a noticeable fashion faux-pas for the event.

The pretty blonde chose a silk Michael Kors Collection dress which she paired with white heels.

The dress, which was sleeveless and quite low on the back, featured delicate blue flowers all over it.

A small puffed out skirt over the knee added an interesting detail to the outfit.

But while the silhouette suited Ivanka, the colour was a surprising choice.

In America, there has been a steadfast fashion rule of not wearing white after Labor Day, which this year was Monday 3 September.

However Ivanka decided to break the style mandate at one of the most photographed events of the political social calendar.

Seemingly unaware of her daring choice, Ivanka beamed in a selection of pictures she shared to Instagram.

Ivanka wore her long blonde hair pulled back in a low ponytail with a side parting.

A striking pair of black and silver chandelier earrings could be seen dangling from her ears.

She kept her makeup simple, opting for nude lips and a heavy smoky eye.

Melania Trump, meanwhile, rewore a black lace Dolce & Gabbana dress she first stepped out in during her visit to Israel last year.

Thanksgiving is a busy time for the President and his family, with both Melania and Ivanka appearing at a turkey pardoning ceremony earlier this week.

The First Lady wore a Pre-Fall 2018 Dior coat in a geometric print. The bold colour offset the otherwise-all-black outfit she sported during the event.

Ivanka, meanwhile, donned a mid-length, monochrome checked coat.

Accessorising her look, she sported a black and white polka dot headband.

She finished the sophisticated aesthetic with a black handbag.
