Ivanka Trump news: Ivanka wears head to toe florals in £900 outfit to White House meeting
Ivanka Trump, 37, attended a meeting with governors elect and members of the Trump administration on Thursday. Usually one to wear formal attire for such important White House occasions, Ivanka ditched the formal blazers and midi dresses for a colourful outfit. The daughter of President Donald Trump, 72, looked cosy in a pink jumper which featured a pretty blue flower on the front. The sweater also featured flute sleeves, giving her chic ensemble a flattering silhouette.
Ivanka teamed the jumper with a white midi skirt which was adorned with pink florals.
Completing the look with a killer pair of suede red heels, the mother of three looked as stylish as always.
The get-up was a rare occurrence for the President’s adviser, who usually sports tailored blazers and formal midi dresses.
It’s not the first time Ivanka has worn the jumper, with the top making an appearance in January 2017.
However, on that occasion the politician teamed it with a figure-hugging belted midi skirt which matched in colour.
The embroidered jumper is £247 from Altuzarra, while her floral skirt was also from the same brand, costing a whopping £645.
It’s now reduced to £322 but has sold out online.
Ivanka was attending a meeting with governors on Thursday, after having accompanied her father the day before to pass a legislation to steer more spending toward certain distressed communities across the UK.
The 37 year old was in seemingly high spirits for the occasion and was pictured grinning as she spoke with other members of council.
She wore formal attire for the meeting, arriving in black blouse with gold chain patterns and a chic black blazer.
But Thursday’s meeting was a much more serious affair, as the US President reaffirmed his promise to punish General Motors for plans to close an auto factory in the electoral battleground of Ohio.
Ivanka and her father’s important meeting came after Trump’s wife Melania, 48, gave an insight into life at the White House in a candid interview with Fox News.
She also spoke about the 12-year-old son she shares with the President.
Asked about her son, Barron, Mrs Trump said: “I want to give him as normal a life as possible.
“This is not a normal life but I like to protect him and give him the childhood that he deserves.”
She added: “He is very happy, he is strong, he is tough, he is enjoying life in Washington.”
Mr Hannity questioned Mrs Trump on whom Barron shared more traits with, asking if he was the “outward fighter, Donald, or like his mum”.
The First Lady replied: “He has both qualities. He is a fighter. He has a soft beautiful heart but he is a fighter, too, he is very strong.”
