Ivanka Trump wears £10,000 dress for Macron state dinner with Melania and Donald

Ivanka Trump attended a state dinner with her husband Jared Kushner last night.

The former-model turned politician arrived at the White House to dine with her father President Donald Trump, 71, and his wife Melania Trump.

A state dinner has been thrown to honour French President Emmanuel Macron, 40, and his wife Brigitte Macron, 64.

Ivanka, a mother to three children, wore a stunning pink gown with an even more stunning price tag.

The advisor to the President, whose husband is a property millionaire, wore a dress costing £10,448 from Matches Fashion.

The dress represented the best of American fashion from US design house Rodarte.

Made from pink tulle, the ruffled gown has black polka dots and floral embellishment around the waist.

The popular design has also been worn by Kristen Dunst, 37, and Millie Bobby Brown, 14, on the red carpet.

On Tuesday night, for the first state dinner hosted by the Trump administration, Ivanka Trump wore a $12,888 dress.

Matches described the dress as: “A delicate eruption of diaphanous flocked tulle.

“It’s crafted to swathe the figure, with ruffles floating across the boat neck and V-shaped back, a striking blossom embellishment at the pleated waist, and a floor-skimming tiered skirt.”

Ivanka shared snaps and video from the night to her Instagram account where she has 4.3m followers and describes herself as: “Wife, mother, sister, daughter. Advisor to POTUS on job creation + economic empowerment, workforce development & entrepreneurship. Personal Page.”

Donald’s wife also looked absolutely stunning in silver Chanel at the dinner.

Melania Trump’s silver dress from Chanel was covered in silver and crystals. 

A sexy number, the dress – by a French fashion house – clung to Melania’s curves beautifully.

Brigitte Macron, 65, brought her A-game with a long ballgown, also by a French fashion house. 

The Louis Vuitton number with long sleeves and golden brocade, channelling a Grecian look.

Melania Trump’s hat stole the limelight yesterday. 

The First Lady chose a white skirt suit, which cost $2,195 (£1,572.25) Michael Kors Collection, and matching hat as she stood with Donald on the red carpet.

Twitter users loved the fashion forward look, and one wrote: “You are tremendous first lady who represents America extremely well. Loved the hat!!!! Classy all the way!!!!” [sic]

Another defended the look, and said: “FLOTUS is Flawless…every ensemble…the assymmetrical suit & stunning Hervé Pierre brimmed hat… to every detail that went into planning this important Event… complete perfection.” [sic]
