James Bond 25: Is this HUGE name joining Daniel Craig for a top secret cameo?

It’s been claimed that Prince Charles has been offered a cameo in the upcoming film, which will be Daniel Craig’s final outing as the spy.

It comes after Craig was seen alongside the Queen in a James Bond skit for the 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony.

Now, The Sun reports that Charles is “considering” making a brief appearance in the film, after making a recent visit to the set.

It’s added that if Charles ultimately declines, bosses may approach Prince Harry and Prince William next.

“They loved the buzz around the Queen’s appearance alongside Daniel Craig and think Charles could top even that,” a source told the publication.

“He is the epitome of everything British, perfect for a cameo role and Bond fans worldwide would absolutely love it.

“When he visited the film set a few weeks ago it was discussed. Now he is considering it.”

They added: “Charles is a patron of both the British Film Institute and the intelligence services, so a role in the 25th Bond would be particularly appropriate for him.

“Any confirmation of a cameo is likely to be kept top, top secret. But if Charles doesn’t go for it Harry and Wills could be in producers sights next.”

Bond 25 still doesn’t have an official title, but it has been in production since April.

It’s faced a number of setbacks in that time, including an explosion at Pinewood Studios and Craig himself sustaining an ankle injury that disrupted shooting schedules.

But his partner Rachel Weisz said at Comic Con last month that he is now doing “really well” as he resumes work.

Since Craig announced his plans to step down from the franchise, speculation has been rife as to who could replace him as Bond.

The bookies’ top pick at the moment is Richard Madden, with Tom Hiddleston very close behind.

But the likes of Cillian Murphy, Idris Elba and Jack Lowden are snapping at their heels.

Bond 25 is out in April 2020.
