James Bond 25 producer Barbara Broccoli SPEAKS OUT after production difficulties
Just a few months ago Boyle was set to direct Bond 25 using Trainspotting screenwriter John Hodge’s script.
However, following creative differences the filmmaker left the project, despite production being set to begin on December 3 at Pinewood Studios.
Nevertheless a few weeks later Cary Fukunaga was announced as his replacement, with filming pushed back to March 2019.
Meanwhile, the release date for Daniel Craig’s final James Bond outing has similarly moved from October 2019 to February 14, 2020.
And with Boyle went his screenwriter, so it looks like a different story – as well as a different creative vision – for Bond 25 is ahead.
Metro recently asked Bond producer Broccoli if she was concerned by the production problems.
She replied: “Concerned about what? No, it’s film-making.
“We’re very excited about Bond and can’t wait.”
She added: “Let’s just create more female characters and make the story fit those female characters.”
Broccoli has been previously backed by M star Judi Dench, Blofeld actor Christoph Waltz and former Bond girl Rosamund Pike.
Bond 25 will be released in cinemas on February 14, 2020.
