James Bond 25: Who will replace Daniel Craig? This actor is now FAVOURITE
Craig is due to reprise the 007 role for the final time in the series’ 25th instalment.
After that, however, it is widely expected that another actor will take over the gig.
For months now, James Norton and Tom Hardy have been level pegging with bookies – but according to Coral, one of them has now taken the lead: Norton.
At time of writing, his odds are on 5/2, with Hardy slightly behind on 3/1.
Jack Huston is also in the race on 5/1, with Idris Elba at 6/1, Aidan Turner and Harry Styles on 8/1 and Tom Hiddleston at 10/1.
“Any Female” can be backed on 12/1, with Michael Fassbender priced on 16/1 alongside Jamie Dornan.
“James Norton has been tipped to become a future 007 following his latest work on screen, however, he may not have to wait long if this latest gamble is anything to go off,” said a Coral spokesperson, indicating a big-money bet has been placed on Norton.
“We have been knocked over with interest suggesting an announcement could be imminent.”
“Production is set to begin on 3 Dec 2018. MGM will partner with Universal Pictures to release the film worldwide.”
It is expected that the film will be out in October 2019 in the UK, with a US release to follow the next month.
Craig confirmed his return last summer after initially indicating 2015’s Spectre would be his swansong.
