James Bond: Here’s why Daniel Craig may STILL do one more 007 movie after No Time To Die

Considering how well-received Skyfall was for the 50th anniversary of the franchise in 2012, and the mixed response to 2015’s Spectre, no doubt Craig wants his final James Bond film to be his swan song.

Danny Boyle was brought on as director and it was all looking peachy until the filmmaker and his screenwriter partner John Hodge left Bond 25 over creative differences.

Following a delay, Cary Fukunaga was confirmed as the replacement director, while what became of the script is not exactly clear.

Come April this year and No Time To Die (which hadn’t had its title revealed at this point) had a live reveal from Jamaica.

It was at this point that Craig seemed less definitive about the movie being his fifth and final.

Sounding coy, the now 51-year-old answered: “Maybe”.

Before quietly adding: “Yeah no it is.”

While telling another outlet: “Yes, it’s my last one. Apparently, it is.”

Perhaps Craig will consider making Bond 26 if No Time To Die turns out to be another Spectre instead of a Skyfall?

Certainly, Moneypenny star Naomie Harris reckons her co-star could make a sixth 007 outing.

In May, Harris told The Independent: “It’s still open – who knows? Genuinely I think he doesn’t know. Nobody does.

“It depends on this film and if people turn out and are like, ‘We want Daniel’ – which I think they will – then he may well be back for another one.”

While Bond producer Barbara Broccoli allegedly wants to persuade Craig to continue in the role beyond No Time To Die.

According to GMB’s Ross King: “When I was asking her about it [being Daniel’s final Bond film], she said, ‘I’m in complete denial’.

“She is a very powerful lady, as we all know.

“Maybe don’t count out the fact that he might come back for just one more.”

Is there too much evidence to suggest Craig won’t be able to say goodbye to his most iconic role just yet?

No Time To Die is released in UK cinemas on April 2, 2020.
