James Bond: Léa Seydoux HATES political correctness ‘Women love to see 007 as sex object’
Today was supposed to see the UK cinematic release of Daniel Craig’s fifth and final James Bond movie No Time To Die. However, the coronavirus pandemic has meant the film has been postponed to November 12. Nevertheless, the stars gave interviews in advance of the original date and the latest sees a very candid interview with Léa Seydoux who reprises Madeleine Swann from Spectre.
The 34-year-old French star has revealed to Harper’s Bazaar UK that No Time To Die reflects the changing attitudes for a post-Me Too world.
She said of No Time To Die’s leading ladies: “We are not here to please Bond’s sexuality.
“My character is not a stereotype. It’s not clichéd.
“She’s a real woman, and an interesting woman. That’s what we needed.”

As for the sexualisation of the women in 007 movies, Seydoux points out that women have no problem seeing James Bond as a sex object.
She added: “I think what we forget is that James Bond is also a sexual object.
“He’s totally a sexual object. He’s one of the few, maybe one of the only, male characters to be sexualised.
“I think that women, they love to see Bond, no? To see his body. No? Don’t you think? I love to see sexy men in bathing suits.”
