Daniel Craig and the rest of the James Bond cast and crew were out in full force as they toasted finishing filming on No Time To Die at a restaurant in Matera in southern Italy at the weekend.

The wrap party featured a gigantic James Bond cake and saw all the key players gather in a heartwarming moment for the 25th instalment in the film series.

And according to reports, the English star became incredibly emotional as he delivered a final speech at the ceremony.

“I just want to say, and I am really quite drunk now so I won’t go on for long,” Craig began.

“This has been the best, most wonderful experience I have ever had,” The Daily Mail reported he said.

“You have all done the most amazing job.

“I could not be more proud to work with every single one of you on this production.”

The star then went on to thank producer Barbara Broccoli in particular.

“I would like to thank you for this evening,” he said. “For Barbara, for putting it on.

“Thank goodness, we did this tonight.”

In Bond 25, No Time to Die, the 007 agent has left active service.

Living in Jamaica, Bond’s peace is disrupted when his CIA friend Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright) shows up to ask for help.

The pair then embark on a new mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist, but things take a disastrous turn.

Bond then ends up facing a mysterious villain, who is using dangerous new technology, and the agent is forced to go further than ever before.

Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Léa Seydoux, Rory Kinnear, Ben Whishaw, Ana de Armas, Dali Benssalah, David Dencik, Lashana Lynch, Billy Magnussen, and Rami Malek are also all in the cast.

The film is reportedly Craig’s final offering in the James Bond series.

And speculation over whether the next Bond will be a woman has remained rife ever since.

Fans are divided, but the odds suggest it could be Tom Hiddleston, or possibly even Scottish Outlander star Sam Heughan.

Filming started in April 2019 for its release next year.

James Bond: No Time To Die is released in cinemas April 8, 2020.
