James Bond No Time to Die trailer: Who is THIS mystery woman? Who does Ana de Armas play?

James Bond fans can heave a sigh of relief as the new No Time to Die trailer has been released. In the trailer, relationships between James Bond and the new 00 agent, Nomi, are explored, as well as his relationship with his lover, Madeleine Swann. However, one woman is left slightly ignored in the trailer, leading fans to ask one question: who IS that mystery woman?

In the trailer, we first meet Bond (Daniel Craig) with his lover, Madeleine Swann (Lea Seydoux), attempting to escape gunfire as they are chased in a car.

Bond believes Madeleine has betrayed him in some way, and soon he has turned into a recluse, living by a lake away from everything and everyone.

However, we hear M (Ralph Fiennes) telling us how technology is changing at such an alarming rate, and they are struggling to keep on top of all the threats coming their way.

As a result Bond’s friend Felix (Jeffrey Wright) is desperate to get him back on the missions – and asks him to dust off his old Aston Martin and join him.

It sounds like Bond is the only one who can help, however he will have competition from a new OO agent, Nomi (Lashana Lynch.)

Nomi makes it clear that she will be the one in charge, telling him: “The world’s moved on, Commander Bond.

“So stay in your lane. You get in my way and I will put a billet in your knee. The one that works.”

There is a flirtation between them, as Moneypenny declares: “I knew you two would get along.”

From there, Bond goes to see his old friend Q, who believes him to be dead, before the mission starts proper, and he has to confront Madeleine again.

Clearly there is tension between them, as he vows to “keep control” despite being forced to work with a woman who he believes has betrayed him.

However, things are clearly even more intense, as Madeleine has a secret which could “be the death” of Bond, according to his arch-nemesis, Blofeld.

From here, we are introduced to Safin (Rami Malek,) the main villain who says looking at Bond is like “my own reflection,” though he is clearly attempeting to seek immortality as he bemoans the fact Bond’s talents will die with his physical body.

At this point, one woman is seen at what looks like a party, and is hit by spotlight along with Bond: a brunette.

This brunette is played by Ana de Armas, and has been named as Paloma in information released so far by the production company.

However, little is known about her, and the trailer gives little away.

At one moment, after the spotlight, she is seen shooting two machine guns in the middle of what looks like a courtyard, before she drop kicks a bad guy away from her.

After this, she looks up in shock and awe, as if she has seen someone important for the first time.

One thing is unclear at present – whose side is she on?

With various people swapping sides – or at least they seem to be – it is unclear whether she will be an aide to Bond, or a protector of the evil Safin.

De Armas described her character as “bubbly” and “irresponsible,” while also mentioning how important her role is to Bond’s missiob.

One thing is for sure: whoever her character turns out to be, she has all the might and fight of Bond himself.
