Parents or guardians with parental responsibility are able to open a Junior ISA and manage the account, however the money belongs to the child.

When the child turns 16, they can take control of the account.

However, they cannot withdraw the money until they reach the age of 18.

While it’s the parents or guardians with patently responsibly who can open the account, gov.uk explains that anyone can pay money into a Junior ISA.
