Jurassic World fans in the UK are already queuing up to see Fallen Kingdom, while fans of the dino franchise in America are still waiting for a release date.

Reviews and box office takings are coming in but for fans who aren’t up on all the Jurassic details, they may have questions before going to the cinema.

How long is Jurassic World 2?

Fallen Kingdom, the second of the contemporary Jurassic World trilogy is also one of the longest of the Jurassic franchise films.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom runs a full two hours and ten minutes.

The fifth of the Jurassic Park franchise has been in the works since the 2015 Jurassic World original began filming.

If you factor in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’s post-credit scene, which presumes you sit through all the credits, the runtime is even longer.

The Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom post-credit scene is fast in comparison to some, like the ones in the Marvel universe, or Deadpool which had five post-credit scenes in total.

Unless you’re a die-hard dinosaur fan, two hours and ten minutes may feel a tad long.

However, Jurassic World 2015 was only six minutes shorter, coming in with a two hour and four minute run time.

Jurassic World isn’t the longest Jurassic Park movie by a big margin with the first Jurassic Park movie clocking in at two hours and seven minutes.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard reprise their roles of Owen Grady and Claire Dearing.

The first Jurassic World movie saw the couple locked in a will-they-won’t-they relationship, which ended in a dramatic kiss in the final scenes of Jurassic World.

The intervening time between Jurassic World and the Fallen Kingdom sequel saw a rift open up between Grady and Dearing.

The Fallen Kingdom trailer showed Dearing and Grady as hostile exes, coming together not because they want to, but because they need to.

The just-over two hours of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will fly by if you’re a major fan.

For those seeing Fallen Kingdom at the behest of their children or partners, it may be a bit too long.

One thing is for sure, it’s chockablock full of adventure.
