Justice League Snyder Cut details REVEALED ‘You’ve only seen a fourth of what I shot’
Talk about a movie news bombshell. After years of fan campaigning in the form of #ReleaseTheSnyderCut, Zack Snyder’s Justice League is finally becoming a reality on HBO Max next year. DC fans will remember that 2017’s Justice League saw poor box office and terrible reviews for the superhero blockbuster.
During production, Snyder tragically had to leave directing Justice League after his daughter died by suicide.
Avengers’ Joss Whedon was brought in to finish directing the movie, adding more humour and new scenes – the result was something far away from the Snyder’s original intentions.
The director, who has never seen the cinematic release, told The Hollywood Reporter: “You probably saw one-fourth of what I did.”
But now his vision is finally going ahead for a streaming service release in 2021.

Justice League Snyder Cut details REVEALED ‘You’ve only seen a fourth of what I shot’
Zac Snyder with his Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman stars
With a budget of around $20-30 million, much of the original post-production team are returning for this new version of Justice League.
They’ll add and finish unused visual effects and stars like Henry Cavill and Jason Momoa could well be brought in to provide additional dialogue.
The result will be a four-hour director’s cut or a six-chapter miniseries for HBO Max.
And considering the poster is black and white, and Snyder admitted to screening a version of his cut to Hollywood executives in that format, perhaps we’re looking at a colourless version of Justice League next year.
Zack Snyder shared this new poster for his Justice League
The 54-year-old director teased: “It will be an entirely new thing, and, especially talking to those who have seen the released movie, a new experience apart from that movie.
HBO Max isn’t launching in the UK, so presumably, the movie will air on another streaming service.
Sky’s NOW TV currently streams HBO shows and movies so that would be the obvious launchpad for this side of the pond.
Of course, following the disappointing box office for Justice League, a sequel never came about.

But what if Zack Snyder’s Justice League is successful and his Justice League 2 is green-lit in some form? Maybe even as an animation?
The director originally had plans for Batman to die, similar to the plot of the Final Crisis comic.
While fans expected DC villain Darkseid to make an appearance.
It’s a long shot, but only a couple of years ago the Snyder Cut was too.
Let’s also not forget that both Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman and Jason Momoa’s Aquaman franchises are still going.
And while Robert Pattinson is the new Batman, having different DC universes exist simultaneously hasn’t bothered Warner Bros in the past.
For example, in the last year, we’ve had Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker and Margot Robbie’s Birds of Prey, so it’s certainly possible.
