Kate Middleton in pictures: Duchess of Cambridge opens V&A exhibition
Kate Middleton arrived at the V&A Museum in London last night to officially open a new photography exhibition.
As the first royal patron of the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Duchess of Cambridge, 36, has a keen interest in visual arts and photography.
The budding photographer has taken many of the official portraits released by Kensington Palace of her children; Prince George, five, Princess Charlotte, three and Prince Louis, five months.
The stylish royal got to explore a photography collection that looks at the invention of photography in the 19th century up to the present day.
Among the exhibits are prints from William Henry Fox Talbot, one of the pioneers of the developing process, and photographs by Sir Paul McCartney’s late wife Linda.
The mother-of-three wore a black and white, chequered Erdem dress with a burgundy satin belt that highlighted her slim figure.
The £1,295 dress featured a geometric low neckline that slightly fell off her shoulder.
She teamed the stunning ankle-length dress with a pair of velvet Jimmy Choo stilettos, costing £495.
