KENSINGTON ATTACK: Moment ARMED police evacuate Sony HQ as 'GUNSHOT heard' – VIDEO
Two people are believed to have been injured in a suspected stabbing, with reports of gunshots and a man with a machete entering the Sony HQ building in London.
Firearms officers and paramedics are currently in attendance and evacuating the building.
The incident, which is currently unknown, has been described as “on-going”.
A video shows people being evacuated and filed out of the door, as armed officers and paramedics wait on standby.
Derry Street is also home to Northcliffe House, where the offices of Daily Mail, Mail Online, Evening Standard, Metro and Johnston Press also reside.
One onlooker said: “Large crowds of people began exiting the building’s front door at around 11 o clock.
“Most were running, all toward Kensington Square Garden. Several were visibly panicked and some were screaming.”
Scotland Yard said in a statement: “We are aware of an incident on Derry Street W8, police on scene including firearms officers and London Ambulance Service. At this time we believe two people are injured. Incident is on-going.”
Met Police wrote on Twitter: “We are aware of an incident on Derry Street W8, police on scene including firearms officers and London Ambulance Service.
