Amelia Tat, 27, pursued her underage student for two years until he was 15, using Instagram and Snapchat to express her love, according to the Toronto Sun.

The married teacher who met the student at Jack Jouett Middle School, Virginia, eventually asked the teen to “stay late and help her after class”, which led to the pair having sex.

Albemarle District Court heard, the pair later had sex again at her house after the student finished a baseball match.

The horrific incidents surfaced after the victim’s mother found inappropriate text messages from Tat – who was then working at a different school – so she called the police.

Prosecutor Darby Lowe said the victim’s mother discovered there was “something going on.”

The former science teacher was charged with three counts of carnal knowledge of a minor and one of taking indecent liberties with a child.

Tat confessed to two counts of carnal knowledge without force of a 13 to 15-year-old in a plea deal, a day after she resigned from the school she recently moved to.

According to NBC29 News, Tat could be jailed for 10 years on each count and fined $200,000 when sentenced in May.

Tat was arrested in June last year and is due to be sentenced on May 1.

This comes after Brandi Lynn Vaughn, 25, also a former science teacher but at Madison Southern High School, was accused of having sexual relations with a minor two times, during the summer of 2015.

Vaughn admitted using an electronic device to induce a minor into engaging in sexual activities, which is a Class D crime.

But Madison Circuit Judge William Clouse backed her plea and dropped two counts of first-degree sexual abuse, two counts of third-degree sodomy and one cont of third-degree rape and evidence, in exchange for her plea, according to the Richmond Register.
