Meghan Markle ‘more minimalist and conservative’ after MAJOR style transformation

Meghan Markle, 37, first shot to fame as an actor, famously playing the role of Rachel Zane in Suits. She later met Prince Harry, with the duo going on to wed one another. Following their plans to marry, the American TV star retired from acting in order to focus on her royal duties. And, as well as changing the public role she has, the Duchess of Sussex also seems to have transformed her style.

Taking a closer look at her wardrobe before and after becoming a Duchess was stylists to the stars, Naina Singla and Gaelle Paul.

Speaking to exclusively to Express.co.uk, both experts spotted the now-retired actor’s overhaul in go-to outfits for public events.

“Meghan Markle has also undergone a major style transformation from her actress red carpet days, Naina said.

“As the Duchess of Sussex, her aesthetic is quite different from her days as a ‘Suits’ actress and its now more adapted to life as a royal.”

So, what has she ditched from her typical style since becoming a Duchess?

“She doesn’t wear oversized clothing, tight cuts, and sheer clothing,” Naina explained. “Instead, her look is now more refined and tailored.

“She also wears a lot of monochromatic and neutral colors like camel, navy, black, and green.

“Her style isn’t fussy, it’s modern and clean with very streamlined silhouettes.

“She has swapped out strappy sandals for classic pumps, wears more luxe fabrics, swapped out bright lips for nude colors.”

What would Naina say about her royal aesthetic?

The stylist concluded: “Overall, her look is more minimalist and conservative, without being boring!”

Meanwhile, stylist to Adelle, Gaelle Paul, explains that the actor’s transition from her celebrity style to that of a royal seemed “effortless”.

“Meghan has always dressed chic and modern and so her transition to dressing for her royal appointments was effortless,” she said.

“Her styles and her fashion sense is coveted by many women around the world: from her skirt hemlines, to her choice of coats, from the tailoring she wears to the colours she chooses.”

Meghan’s designer shoe collection has recently been revealed, with the amount she owns thought to total 37.

And, when it comes to cost, her penchant for footwear could have set her back an astounding £17,468.30, altogether.
