and , the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have spent the past two weeks touring Africa. Harry has taken in South Africa, Botswana, Angola and Malawi, while Meghan has stuck around in South Africa with their baby, . By all accounts, the trip has been a huge success, with the whole family capturing hearts at every turn.

While Meghan wasn’t included in the public portion of the later parts of the trip, she has been busy working away behind the scenes.

Over the weekend, she made a surprise appearance, visiting Johannesburg’s Victoria Yards, a place for artisans and craftspeople to work and share their creations.

Meghan looked stylish as ever out on the trip in a black dress and a pair of ruby red flats.

But it seems the shoes might have had a bit of a hidden message.

The slippers are from Everlane, a sustainable brand the Duchess is very fond of, and the model she wore is called ‘The Editor Slingbacks’.

Meghan recently guest-edited the September issue of Vogue, under the title Forces For Change.

Knowing the interest her fashion choices garner, perhaps this was a little hint from the Duchess to remind the public to pick up a copy of Vogue as September drew to a close?

If you had your eye on Meghan’s shoes, the good news is they’re still available and won’t totally break the bank

The Editor Slingbacks are available in Persimmon Suede (Meghan’s colour of choice), Rosewood Suede, Black Suede and Mustard Suede.

A pair will set you back £129 and they’re available in UK sizes five to 11.

The flats were comfy enough for Meghan on her walking tour around Victoria Yards.

He first stop was Sneakers 4 Change, an organisation that collects and donates sneakers to those less fortunate.

She then headed to Young Bucks, a small business that makes books from recycled materials.

During the stop, Meghan revealed a little-known fact about her pre-royal life.

The Duchess commented that she used to teach a bookbinding class, back when she supplemented her acting work by teaching classes such as calligraphy.

Next up, Meghan visited Tshepo Jeanmaker, a local designer from Soweto who makes customised jeans.

He spoke to Meghan about the growth of his business, which now employs 10 people, and presented her with a tiny pair of Archie.

He also revealed that Meghan placed an order for a pair of jeans four weeks ago, which she personally picked up.
