Melania Trump news: First Lady changes hair colour AGAIN – days after unveiling blonde ‘do

Melania Trump, who married Donald Trump, 72, back in 2005, is the First Lady for the United States of America. But, despite her very important role, it seems that some people have been preoccupied with the 48-year-old’s most recent hair ‘dos. It came after the mother-of-one unveiled a very different look, a blonde barnet, earlier this month. The colour surprised some, as Melania is usually seen with chocolate brown hair and caramel highlights.

But, as she stepped out on the USS George H.W. Bush, last week, the lighter tones of her hair could be seen.

Melania sported a black hat, but her new ‘do could be seen cascading around her shoulders in soft curls.

She also recently appeared in a video interview with Fox News.

And, in the clip, the First Lady, who is often admired for her style, had much lighter locks.

However, it seems that some social media users weren’t impressed by Melania’s latest look.

But, while some decided to criticise her new hair, another Twitter user wrote: “If Melania Trump wants to dye her hair blonde (as many women do monthly…), who are you to judge her for it?”

The blonde colour surprised some, as according to some reports, Melania’s usual hair colour goes beyond her personal choice.

The First Lady’s hairstylist Mordechai Alvow told Refinery 29 that there is a particular reason why she rarely changes it.

And, Mordechai revealed that’s because maintaining one look can help onlookers to “associate” with her.

Speaking last year, he told the publication: “When someone is going to be in the eyes of the public and will constantly be on the news, there is a look that people want to understand and be comfortable with and associate with.

“She’s not like a performer. There is a look about her where it’s almost like she’s the mother of the public.

“You want your mother to have one steady look.”

On Saturday, Melania and Donald were pictured at the White House in Washington DC, as they attended the Congressional Ball.

The First Lady unveiled darker-toned hair, which tumbled in sleek curls around her shoulders.

She sported a long white dress, which featured a high neckline and hugged her figure.

Meanwhile, Donald sported a smart black tuxedo and matching bow tie.

Mum-of-one Melania can speak more languages than any other First Lady before her: English, French, German, Italian, Serbian and of course her mother tongue, Slovenian.

This also makes her the only First Lady whose first language is not English.

Religion

After Jacqueline Kennedy, Melania is the second First Lady who is a practising Catholic.

She met Pope Francis as part of a foreign tour with her husband and stepdaughter Ivanka last year.

Career

Melania was a successful model, posing for Sports Illustrated, Vanity Fair, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and GQ.

Her skills aren’t confined to print, and she appeared in a commercial for Aflac, an American insurance company, in 2005.

Family

Melania’s parents are Amalija Knavs and Viktor Knavs, and the couple live together in Washington.

She has one sister, Ines, who is reported to live in New York and work as an artist.

Charity

On May 7 2018, Melania launched her flagship campaign as First Lady, BE BEST, which The White House describes as “an awareness campaign focused entirely around the well-being of children”.

There are three main strands to the initiative: well-being, social media, and opioid abuse.
