Melania Trump risks flashing crowds in wardrobe malfunction as she arrives in Malawi

Melania Trump was all smiles as she disembarked from her military plane at Lilongwe International Airport in Malawi today.

The 48-year-old is making a one-day visit to the country, during her week long trip to Africa.

Today, the current First Lady of the United States, who is married to Donald Trump, opted for a beige-toned dress.

The outfit was cut to just below her knees, and featured a draped design.

The billowing fabric and slight slit in the shirtdress meant Melania could very easily have unveiled more than she had bargained for while walking on the airfield.

Reducing the risk of a wardrobe malfunction, she kept one hand close to her leg as she made her descent from the plane.

The item featured buttons down its centre, as well as two pocket-style sections at her bust.

It cinched at her waist, with the help of a brown belt.

She teamed the look with a pair of brown high heels.

School children were pictured standing on the airfield beside a red carpet, which the former fashion model proceeded to walk down.

Melania wore her sleek locks loose around her shoulders.

It is thought that her outfit choice could have been designed by Ralph Lauren – potentially retailing at around £1,530 ($1,990).

Appearing to offer some insight into her outfit choice was Style Editor for Vogue.com, Edward Barsamian.

Posting a snap of her arrival on Twitter, he suggested Melania could have opted for a similar version of a shirtdress on the designer’s website.

He penned: “[I] believe @FLOTUS is wearing an @RalphLauren shirtdress for arrival in Malawi.
