Melania Trump wears £2000 coat at Christmas Tree lighting ceremony with Donald Trump

Melania Trump, 48, held on tightly to Donald Trump, 72, as they entered the event. The First Lady wrapped up warmly in a Max Mara Levico Beaver Belted Wrap coat, £2000. She paired this with a pair of white leather gloves and a thick white knitted polo neck jumper. A pair of knee high suede sand coloured boots completed the look, and ensured every inch of her skin was covered from the bitter weather.

Glamorous Melania swept her hair off her face in a chic updo.

A glowing tan – probably from her Thanksgiving break in Florida – and heavy smoky eye makeup were the final touches.

Donald, meanwhile, wore a simple black overcoat and red tie teamed with black gloves.

The couple were joined by all of the family – Ivanka, Tiffany, Eric and Donald Jr.

The festive season is a busy one for Melania, who has many official duties to attend to.

Yesterday, she stepped out for a town hall meeting on opioids at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.

During the meeting, which will appear in a new programme hosted by Eric Bolling on the Sinclair network, Melania was quizzed about her life with the President – as reported by the Daily Mail.

Spilling all, Melania said: “We are very very busy. We have our own schedules. I’m very busy. He’s very busy.”

The mother-of-one shares 12-year-old son Barron Trump with her husband.

Discussing the family’s evenings, Melania explained she and her spouse typically try to set aside time to catch up over an evening meal.

Earlier this week, Melania was pictured attending an event at The American Red Cross National Headquarters alongside US Second Lady Karen Pence, 61.

The US First Lady had arrived in order to help assemble care packages for US troops stationed abroad for the holidays.

In snaps from the event, the former model was pictured delivering a speech. Melania opted for a relatively relaxed-looking ensemble for the day.

She sported a pair of vibrant red cigarette-style trousers, as well as a navy blue jumper.

The garment featured a high neck, as well as red and white stripes at the neckline.
