Melania Trump wears black cape to pay her respects to George H. W. Bush in Washington

Melania Trump, 48, looked sombre for the occasion, which she attended with Donald Trump, 72. They visited the casket of former President George H. W. Bush, who died on November 30 at the age of 94. He will lie in state in Washington before his body is flown back to Houston for his funeral on Thursday. The First Lady wore all black for her visit, covering every inch of skin in a black coat.

Her coat had cape-like sleeves, lending a fashion-forward air to the attire.

She wore a lair of black leather gloves and black suede knee high boots to compete the look.

Of course, mum-of-one Melania made sure she didn’t have a hair out of place, with her locks perfectly blowdried in a straight style.

Very heavy smoky eye makeup and need lipstick made the final touch.

Donald and Melania returned to Washington on Monday after spending the weekend in Buenos Aires, Argentina, for the G20 summit, and Mexico City.

The First Lady posed for photos with a number of other internationally-known figures – such as the First Lady of Argentina, Juliana Awada.

During her time in the country, Melania and Juliana took a guided visit to MALBA – the Latin American Museum of Arts.

The former model, who often makes headlines for her stylish wardrobe choices, opted for a pale-toned ensemble for the event.

According to the MailOnline, the garment was a custom-made design by Christian Dior.

The publication also reported that the dress could cost $9,800 – which is around £7,695.

Melania also wore a white satin dress adorned with multi-coloured florals which reached just below her knees as she posed for pictures with other G20 leader’s wives.

With a price tag of £2,950, the beautiful dress was by Gucci.

The hem of the elegant gown featured a block of green, which matched her pointed heels of the same colour.

With her toned limbs on display, Melania’s dress was a sleeveless design with pleats at the chest and long neat pleats running from the top of the waistband.

The 48 year old looked incredibly happy for the day out with her fellow leaders’ partners, grinning as the women posed on the steps of the museum.
