Nadine Coyle tour cancelled: Girls Aloud star scraps string of UK and Ireland concerts
The singer, formerly of Girls Aloud, has called off the entirety of the jaunt, which was due to start next month.
She wrote on her website: “Hi guys, I am so sad to say I’m not able to do the tour at this time.
“I am so sorry and really wish things were different but for many reasons it is not meant to be.”
She added: “You deserve the best show possible and with such big venues and very little dates it was becoming impossible to achieve what we had wanted to do.
“Everything is a lesson & this is definitely one for me. Thank you for your continued love & support!!!”
She had been due to start the run of shows in Glasgow on May 10, calling at Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, London, Dublin and Belfast over the subsequent ten days.
The star had promised to showcase not only her own new material, lifted from her recent Nadine EP, but also some of Girls Aloud’s classic hits.
Fans have reacted with disappointment, with one saying on Twitter: “Nadine Coyle cancelling her tour is not the news I needed for a Monday.”
“nadine coyle cancelled her tour so i’m cancellin my life,” quipped someone else.
“Gutted tbh. Thinking positively though. We all still love you Nadine #NadineCoyle,” assured another fan.
Coyle has not yet tweeted about the cancellation, but is she is still expected to play events such as the Manchester Pride Spring Benefit on May 17.
