Nanny McPhee child star Holly Gibbs looks like this now
Thompson just revealed that a musical of the hit movie is on the way.
Back in 2005, the star took a beloved series of books to the big screen and cast Colin Firth as the bewildered and struggling father of seven.
Young Holly played the smallest child Chrissy (apart from baby Agatha) in her first screen role.
What happened to her since then? Look what a beautful an accomplished young woman she has become.
The debut actress who brought Chrissy (or Christiana to give her her full name) to life worked solidly for a few years after the movie was released before appearing to divert her energy into studying art.
Now 19, she has blossomed into a typical young British woman, happily posting pictures of herself and friends on social media.
Last year she revealed she was studying an Art Foundation at Central Saint Martin: “‘ve specialised in Sculpture and am hoping to carry on there next year for a BA in Fine Art.”
She told OK online that she still stayed in touch with the other Nanny Mcphee children.
Holly said: “I’ve got quite a few of my ‘siblings’ on Facebook and some of us have bumped in to each other on a few occasions. We really were like a little family so it’s always nice to see what everyone’s up to now.
“The whole experience was by far one of the most memorable I’ve had and I would love to be a part of something so special again in the future.”
After Nanny McPhee, Holly landed a starring role the following year in the children’s TV show The Story of Tracy Beaker. She played Milly in ten episodes.
In 2007 Holly tackled a far darker subject in the movie Secret Life. The hard-hitting drama about a pedophile battling to resist his nature starred Matthew Macfadyen.
The same year, Holly also starred in the four-part adult TV drama Talk To Me, opposite Max Beesley.
In 2011 she starred in the Brit romcom Love’s Kitchen alongside Dougray Scott, Michelle Ryan and Claire Forlani. Holly’s last appearance on screen was in the 2016 Lysette Anthony crime thriller Mob Handed.
Holly still looks back fondly onher Nanny McPhee experience and said how “inspiring” it was to work with Thompson and Firth, as well as the likes of Celia Imrie and Imelda Staunton.
NANNY MCPHEE IS ON ITV AT 11.20AM ON SATURDAY APRIL 21
