New to Netflix: What movies are new on Netflix? All the film additions for April
April often brings with it the dawning of spring and lots of April showers. However, this time it is also bringing some difficult challenges for those trying to keep away from the coronavirus. So what has Netflix got in store for people which will help them to remain entertained?

April 1-7
Coffee & Kareem
In this movie, a 12-year-old boy decides to try and break up his mother with her new police officer boyfriend.
Starring Terrence Little Gardenhigh as Kareem, with his mother and her boyfriend (Vanessa and “Coffee”) played by Taraji P. Henson and Ed Helms, the comedy takes a turn as his violent plan leads to something even more shocking.
Instead of breaking up his mother’s boyfriend, he instead exposes a criminal network which means he and Coffee must team up to protect their family.

Money Heist: The Phenomenon
Money Heist is a new documentary film which considers the sensation behind the Spanish TV series Money Heist.
The first two parts revolve around a long-prepared, multi-day assault on the Royal Mint of Spain in Madrid, while the third part shows the surviving robbers forced out of hiding, and with the help of new members, they plan a new heist.
Both of these films drop on April 3.
April 8-14
Tigertail
The synopsis of Tigertail reads: “After a hard childhood growing up in Taiwan, Grover takes a risky opportunity to move to America with a woman he doesn’t connect with to start a new life, abandoning his love and a home he genuinely loved.”
John Cho plays the older Grover, and soon he and his daughter, who is stubborn and frustrated at her lot, realise how similar they really are.
Coffee and Kareem
Love Wedding Repeat
This is a rom-com starring Sam Claflin and Jack, and Olivia Munn as Dina.
The story sees Jack attempt to give his sister the perfect day in alternate versions of the same wedding.
During which he faces a number of shocking circumstances, including an unexpected reunion with Dina, the one who got away.
La vie scolaire
In this film, a school counsellor begins working in one of the poorest areas of Paris to help disadvantaged students.
But she is young and inexperienced, and begins to learn more and more about life as she faces true pain and suffering head-on.
The Main Event
In this sport-comedy, 11-year-old Leo Thompson (Seth Carr) discovers a magical wrestling mask that gives him super strength.
Through this discovery, he enters a WWE competition with aims to become the next wrestling superstar, but needless to say, things are never that simple.
All of these titles drop on April 10.
April 15-21
Sergio
Sergio is a new political thriller starring Ana de Armas.
In the movie, UN diplomat Sergio Vieira de Mello (played by Wagner Moura) tries to settle down with the woman he loves, but is forced to take on one last assignment.
After spending years in some of the most unstable regions in the world, he goes to Baghdad, which is newly plunged into chaos following the invasion of US forces.

Based on a true story, this film follows the rise and fall of two real estate agents in Germany.
The official synopsis reads: “Charting the rise and fall of three corrupt real estate agents who accumulate absurd wealth in no time but fall into a vortex of fraud, greed and drugs.”
Earth and Blood
In this film, two sawmill owners, Said and his daughter Sarah, run a successful business.
However, they hire mainly ex-con and ex-cartel runners, which likely brings some stressful circumstances.
All of these titles drop on April 17.
April 22-28
The Plagues of Breslau
In this film, a killer takes another life every day at 6pm.
Police officer Helena Rus thinks the killings are done by one man and decides to reveal the killer’s identity by getting back in the 18th-century history of the city.
This film arrives on Netflix on April 22.
Extraction
This action-thriller is produced by Avengers Endgame directors Antony and Joe Russo, and stars Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth.
The official synopsis reads: “Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth) is a fearless black market mercenary with nothing left to lose when his skills are solicited to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned international crime lord.
“But in the murky underworld of weapons dealers and drug traffickers, an already deadly mission approaches the impossible, forever altering the lives of Rake and the boy.”
This arrives on Netflix on April 24.
Willy and the Guardians of the Lake: Tales from the Lakeside Winter Adventure
In this children’s cartoon, Willy Whistle looks to seize his chance to become a guardian as winter approaches and the lake is threatened.
However, he is forced to work with his enemies to stop the threats.
This arrives on Netflix on April 27.

Windfall
The official synopsis reads: “When a wealthy elderly man dies and unexpectedly leaves his estate to his new caregiver, she’s drawn into a web of deception and murder.
“If she’s going to survive, she’ll have to question everyone’s motives – even the people she loves.”
This arrives on Netflix on April 30.
