Ocean's 8: Is George Clooney in it? Is Danny Ocean DEAD?

This movie is all about the ladies, with some of the biggest names in film and music strutting their stuff around a dazzling crime set at the New Yolk Met Gala.

Even so, the shadow of the man show started it all looms large and fans have been wondering whether Clooney will cameo or not?

Did Danny Ocean really die or was it all another long game?

We have seen the movie and are very happy to report that is it as much fun (if not more) than the previous testosterone-fuelled frolics… but will any of the boys come out to play?

WARNING: MINOR SPOILERS

The last time we saw Danny in oceans Thirteen he had set off an earthquake and was enjoying his milions.

Ocean’s 8 opens with his sister Debbie (Bullock) visiting his tomb. Well, his plaque.

It says he died in 2018, so just before the new movie is set. It also says nothing about how he died and Debbie seems to be just as much in the dark.

What is going on?

Audiences are altready used to these movies pulling the wool over everyone’s eyes on screen and in their cinema seats.

Throughout the whole movie there is the lingering suspicion Clooney will swagger into view any moment.

Right at the very end, Debbie returns to the cemetery with a martini to toast her success and raise a glass to her brother.

She takes a sip and tells his tomb; “You would have loved it.”

And then?

And then, absolutely nothing. It was the perfect moment for a huge crowd-pleasing 11th hour entrance.

Does this mean he’s really dead?

The director has already explained why he cut the infamous Matt Damon cameo. Are the orginal Ocean’s crew gone from the franchise for good or are they bulding to a huge crossover sequel with everyone in action?

All will no doubt depend on how the all-female reboot performs at the box office.
