Once Upon A Time In Hollywood end credits scene: Is there a post-credits tag?

The new Quentin Tarantino movie isn’t out in the UK for another three weeks, but American fans can check it out right now.

And the good news is that it’s definitely worth sticking around as the credits roll, because there IS a post-credits treat.

WARNING: Look away now if you don’t want to know what the scene is.

It’s a fun little stinger, and features a bonus moment for Leonardo DiCaprio’s Rick Dalton.

It’s an ad for Red Apple cigarettes, in which Rick smokes with a cardboard cutout of himself.

But when the cameras stop rolling, it’s obvious that he absolutely hates the product.

Red Apple cigarettes will be familiar to dedicated Tarantino fans: they’ve also featured in Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill and The Hateful Eight.

They are also referenced in From Dusk Till Dawn, Four Rooms and Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion (which starred Mira Sorvino, Tarantino’s then-partner).

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood has been very well received by critics, and currently has an 87% score with Rotten Tomatoes.

The consensus reads: “Thrillingly unrestrained yet solidly crafted, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood tempers Tarantino’s provocative impulses with the clarity of a mature filmmaker’s vision.”

It also has an 85 score on Metacritic, earning a “Must-See” badge.

Entertainment Weekly said: “DiCaprio and Pitt are probably as good as they’ve ever been in anything: one superbly channeling the outsize ego and fragility of an actor in early-midlife spiral, the other a sort of beach-boy Lebowski with a singular gift for sudden violence.”

Rolling Stone also piled on the praise, writing: “Tarantino’s all-star fantasia links Hollywood and Manson-era violence into the best and most explosive cinema we’ve seen all year.

“You can feel Tarantino’s mad love for movies in all their disreputable dazzle and subversive art in every shot.”

Us Weekly added: “Forget the Oscar talk and just enjoy the movie for what it is: A breezy late-summer entry with a story that could only be written by a native Angelino-turned-maverick-filmmaker.”
