Once Upon A Time In Hollywood TRAILER: Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt with Quentin Tarantino

Quentin Tarantino’s first film since The Hateful Eight is released this Summer and the first trailer has arrived. Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is set in 1969 Los Angeles around the time of the Charles Manson murders. DiCaprio stars as Rick Dalton, a struggling Western TV actor, alongside Pitt, who plays Cliff Booth, his stunt double. The film sees the pair set out to make a name for themselves in this modern age of Hollywood that they’re not so familiar with.

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood also stars Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate, the pregnant actress and wife of Roman Polanski, who was murdered in her home by Charles Manson’s followers.

The cast also includes Al Pacino as Marvin Schwarz, Rick’s agent; Damien Lewis as Steve McQueen and the late Luke Perry in his final role as Wayne Maunder, an actor who co-starred in Lancer

Meanwhile, Burt Reynolds was set to play George Spahn, who rented out his ranch to Manson in exchange for sex with his female followers.

However, following Reynolds’ death, Tarantino regular Bruce Dern was cast in the role.

The 82-year-old Dern played Confederate general Sanford Smithers in The Hateful Eight.

He also had a cameo role as slaveowner Curtis Carrucan in Django Unchained.

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood also features Dakota Fanning as Lynette “Squeaky” Fromme, a member of the Manson family who attempted to assassinate US President Gerald Ford in 1975.

Meanwhile, Damon Herriman plays Manson himself and Mike Moh portrays Bruce Lee.

Speaking last year, Tarantino said: “I’ve been working on this script for five years, as well as living in Los Angeles County most of my life, including in 1969, when I was seven years old.

“I’m very excited to tell this story of an LA and a Hollywood that don’t exist anymore.

“And I couldn’t be happier about the dynamic teaming of DiCaprio & Pitt as Rick & Cliff.”

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is released in UK cinemas on August 14, 2019.
