Predator on DVD and Blu-ray: When is the new Predator out on DVD and Blu-ray?

The Shane Black-helmed addition to the Predator franchise was a disappointment to some, but not to all.

The movie has a 33 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Its critics’ consensus reads: “The Predator has violence and quips to spare, but its chaotically hollow action adds up to another missed opportunity for a franchise increasingly defined by disappointment.”

But some fans disagreed and those will likely want to watch the movie again and again.

When is Predator out on DVD and Blu-ray?

Good news for fans, the official release date has been announced.

The bad news, the wait is long.

The Predator will be available for a digital purchase from January 11, 2019.

For 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD releases, you’ll have to wait till January 28, 2019.

At this date, it will also be available for a 4 disc collection pack, for the die-hard fans.

For those awaiting special features, you’re in luck.

The Predator home entertainment release comes with some extras.

The description of the extras are non-existent, but some are self explanatory. 

Those extras can vary depending on the retailer and region.

The official plot of Predator reads: “Decades after the first, fateful encounters between elite American forces and the extra-terrestrial Predators who hunt humans for honour and sport, Special Forces Captain Quinn McKenna (Boyd Holbrook) encounters a Predator marooned in the Mexican wilderness.

“But soon after the captive Predator becomes the centrepiece of a top-secret study under evolutionary biologist Casey Brackett (Olivia Munn), a deadly new breed of Predator arrives on Earth, with plans that could threaten the entire planet’s future.

“Now Brackett, McKenna, his son, and a squad of military misfits have to band together to fend off both the alien threat and a human conspiracy – making surprising allies in the process.”

The Predator is available for digital download on January 11, 2019, and 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD on January 28, 2019.
